Psalm 20
May The LORD answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob protect you! May he send you help from the sanctuary and give you support from Zion! May he remember all your offerings and regard with favor your burnt sacrifices! Selah. May he grant you your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans! May we shout for joy over your salvation and in the name of our God set up our banners! May the LORD fulfill all your petitions! Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with the saving might of his right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright. O LORD, save the king! May he answer us when we call!
Two nights ago Grace handed me the Bible and asked me to read. This is what I read. Now I am not one of those people who open up the Bible a immediately believe God is speaking directly to me but in this instance, because the message was so profound to what I am going through, I think He might have had a word for me. I have a wonderful friend who tells me to look in the mirror and know that God loves me; not just a little bit – He’s CRAZY in love with me. He loves me from the tip of my toes to the very top of my head despite my flaws and manic moments. God LOVES me! He has blessed me beyond measure – certainly more than I deserve and patiently tutors me with loving, albeit firm, kindness.

Hi Denise!
Thanks for the encouragements - you guys are so sweet. And thanks for including the link to your blog - it's written so heartfelt and lovingly.
I'm astounded that we have something else in common: we moved from the Harrisburg area 4 years ago, after 16 years in the region. We are Messiah grads and stuck around.
I would love to talk more about your journey - it sounds so similar to mine. Truth be told, part of the reason I started blogging was to try and maintain connections with all the gals I "grew up" with since being a newlywed.
And if you aren't totally settled on a church yet, I have some great recommendations for ya. Let's talk :)
Thanks for commenting! I hope to get to know you better, I'm sure your time as an army wife will help me a lot.
